A small group of residents is asking why work has stopped on a portion of trail they want to see improved. Tom Bremner, owner of Accurate Appraisals and Heritage Realty in Inglewood, has written to the Town asking it to get back to work on a portion of the Trans-Canada trail just north of Inglewood.

Bremner and his group are calling for road widening beside the trail that they say has been on the books for quite some time, but not carried out.

The stretch is on McLaughlin Road from Olde Base Line to the Grange Sideroad, which is 2.5 km of the main thoroughfare through Inglewood.

Many residents believe it is a safety concern, and Bremner and his wife Karin and staff have been advocating for its repair going on five years.

In May of 2010, they gathered a petition of more than 2,000 community names and presented their desire to see the trail enhanced to the Town.
